Mahaanui is located in the beautiful Tiniroto, halfway between Gisborne (approx. 1.5 hr drive) and Wairoa (approx. 1 hr drive). 

Check In & Out

Cottage and Quarters Check-In and Check-Out times below:
• Self-Check-In from: 14:00pm on day of arrival.
• Self-Check-Out by:   11:00am on day of departure.

River Cabin Check-In and Check-Out times below:
• Check-In between: 15:00pm-18:00pm on day of arrival, if requiring off-road farm transport to cabin. Please let us know roughly what time you plan to arrive, and we will be home to greet you and transfer you to the cabin. You can also walk the 20 minutes down to cabin.
• Check-Out by: 11:00am on day departure. Transport or walk-out to be arranged with hosts.

Cancellation Policy

​Guests will be charged 100% of the first night’s stay if cancelled within 7 days of arrival or within 21 days of arrival for the summer holiday period.
